Por la mañana,
nosotros nos levantamos a las 6h45. Desafortunadamente no nos dormimos hasta la
1h00 y estábamos súper cansados. Dios Mío! Mi amigo Anthony se olvidó poner su
despertador.
In
the morning, we got up at 6:45am. Unfortunately, we did not go to sleep until
1:00am y we were very tires. OMG! My Friends
Anthony forgot to set the alarm.
Para desayunar,
yo comí churros con chocolate y frutas. Al comer el chocolate me manché, un
poco de chocolate se cayó en mi camiseta. Después, necesite limpiarla con un
marcador de Tide. Yo no sé si funciono bien porque la mancha no desapareció por
completó. Por eso mis amigos intentaron lavar mi camiseta pero ellos también
fallaron en su esfuerzo.
For breakfast, I ate churros
with hot chocolate and fruit. When I was
drinking the chocolate, some of the chocolate spilled on to my t-shirt. Afterwards, I tried to clean it with a Tide
stick. I didn’t know if worked well because there was still a stain on my
shirt. That’s why my friends tried to was my t-shirt but they failed in their
effort.
Al terminar
el desayuno nos reunimos en la recepción del hotel y viajamos en autobús para
ver el Acueducto, el Alcázar y la Catedral de Segovia. El Alcázar es el Castillo
de Fernando e Isabela los Reyes Católicos. Allí vivieron y se reunieron con Cristóbal
Colon.
When
we finished breakfast we gathered in the lobby of the hotel and we traveled on
a bus to the Aqueducts, the Alcazar, and Cathedral of Segovia. The Alcazar is
the castle of the Catholic Kings, Fernando and Isabela. This is where they meet with Christopher Columbus.
We toured the throne room several bed rooms, the basilica and climbed lots of stairs to see a panoramic view of Segovia from a tower of the castle.
Para el
almuerzo, nosotros comimos en un restaurant en un hotel. Yo pedí un plato de
cerdo con una ensalada. Yo tuve que esperar 5 minutos más que los otros alumnos
de Newark Academy porque el camarero se olvidó de mí. Al lado del restaurante había una mujer con una marioneta guay.
For
lunch, we ate at a hotel restaurant. I
ordered a pork chop with a salad. I had to wait 5 minutes more than the other
Newark Academy students because the waiter forgot my order. Next to the restaurant was a street artist with a cool puppet.
En el camino
a Madrid, todos los estudiantes y
maestras nos quedamos dormidos –tomamos una siesta- en el autobús. Yo solo me dormí
por 20 minutos por eso saque una foto del resto del grupo durmiendo :-)
On
our way back to Madrid, all the students and teachers –we had a siesta- on the
bus. I only slept for 20 minutes so I
took a photo of the others sleeping :-)
Por la
tarde, tuvimos una clase profesional de cocinar. Yo fui un voluntario en la
cocina y mis amigos me aplaudieron muchas veces. Por ejemplo, cuando rompí y batí los huevos
para la tortilla española todos me animaron. Yo también cocine la paella. Cuando yo vuelva a los EEUU voy a ensenar a
mi padre a cocinar una paella. Fue muy divertido y la comida estaba muy rica!!!
In
the afternoon, we had a professional cooking class. I volunteered to cook and
my friends cheered me on numerous times. For example, when I cracked and beat
the eggs for the tortilla Española everyone cheered. I also helped cook the
paella. When I return to the US, I’m
going to teach my father how to prepare a paella. It was a lot of time and food was delicious.
Por la
noche, nosotros tuvimos tiempo libre en la calle la Gran Vía y yo compre cartas
un vaso. También jugamos a las cartas y yo gane. Antes de ir a la cama fuimos a
comer helado.
At
night, we had free time to explore the boulevard la Gran Via and I purchased a
deck of cards and a glass. We also played cards. Before bedtime we went out for ice-cream.
